AeroGuard’s Pilot Pathway Program: A beginning to end flight training program for individuals seeking a pathway to start their airline pilot career. In partnership with SkyWest 麻豆精品, the Pilot Pathway Program brings individuals with little or no prior experience through flight training, to building flight time and experience, to their first airline job interview and beyond – establishing a successful career as a commercial airline pilot.
Within the Pilot Pathway Program, student pilots can become SkyWest Cadets and begin building their professional careers and seniority from day one on campus. As students, cadets will earn 7 FAA ratings and certifications, with each phase of the curriculum carefully structured to produce high-quality and confident pilots for leading airlines.
Following their initial training, graduates have the option to receive a Guaranteed Job Interview to become an AeroGuard Instructor, providing a clear path to the 1,500 Hours required to become an airline pilot in the U.S.. Once SkyWest Cadets in the Pilot Pathway Program reach Airline Minimums, they will receive a Guaranteed First Officer Interview with the airline to start their career, and receive a $17,500 Tuition Reimbursement after hire and I.O.E.. Through SkyWest, Cadets are then offered Guaranteed Pilot Interviews with 3 Major 麻豆精品: Delta, United, and Alaska 麻豆精品.

Through the Pilot Pathway Program, students will obtain all 7 FAA Ratings and Certifications from their Private Pilot License to their Multi-Engine Instructor License, preparing them at every stage of training and ultimately their professional commercial airline pilot careers.

Based on this curriculum and professionally focused environment, AeroGuard has an FAA-Approved Reduced Hours Course that can save students up to 15% on flight training costs, saving time and money as you build your career. This course allows students to benefit from efficient and structured pilot training while completing training in less time with less expense. Your Path to 1,500 Hours
To meet airline hiring requirements, most U.S. pilots need 1,500 hours of flight time. AeroGuard’s Pilot Pathway Program includes a Guaranteed CFI Interview following graduation with AeroGuard, and we hire 98% of graduates to continue their complete path to becoming an airline pilot.
Other flight school graduates may only get halfway to their airline careers, left on their own to find a way to build their flight time. At AeroGuard, we are committed to providing students with a complete path to their goal as professional pilots at the airlines. As a student and flight instructor at AeroGuard, you will have a community of hundreds of like-minded pilots working towards the same career, and a consistent pipeline of students to train.
Some flight schools may offer their graduates the chance to become an instructor, but are unable to provide enough students to train and build flight time. Cadets are not committed to SkyWest by joining the program, and are free to pursue their pilot career as they choose. However, as the largest regional airline with highly regarded company culture, Pathway Students are well positioned to start their professional pilot career at this industry leading airline.

AeroGuard Locations & Student Housing
AeroGuard campuses are located in ideal flight training locations and in some cases, relocating can be necessary to have access to the best training environment – allowing students to train consistently and progress through training in conducive airspace. AeroGuard has three campus locations in areas of ideal flying weather and aviation infrastructure.
AeroGuard offers student housing at most campus locations, providing a quick and easy commute to campus while living with like-minded students on the same career path. By moving to one of our locations where you’re able to fly more than 300-350 days out of the year, combined with AeroGuard’s large aircraft fleet, provides an environment that allows you to train throughout the whole year and consistently build your skills, knowledge, and flight hours.
Admissions Process & Requirements
Enrollment Advisors are at the ready to help walk you through the Pathway Program Admissions Process and ensure you meet all the requirements to begin your future airline pilot career as soon as possible.
To join the Pilot Pathway Program – and ultimately start an Airline Pilot career – students must be at least 18 and be able to obtain a First-Class Medical Certificate. Pilot Pathway Students must also be able to obtain a passport and possess the legal right to work in the United States, as well as have a High School Diploma or GED. Once confirmed that you meet the admissions criteria to apply to AeroGuard and become a pilot, you will begin the admissions process. This may take 3-4 weeks, so it鈥檚 important that you plan accordingly. The process will include:
- FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Secure Financing or Payment Plan
- AeroGuard Online Assessment
- Interview with Flight Operations Team
